Free Dallas disposal, and when a roll-off still makes sense

McCommas Bluff Landfill costs residents nothing

Dallas residents may haul household waste to McCommas Bluff Landfill, 5100 Youngblood Road, free of charge in a car, station wagon, pickup or a trailer shorter than 15 feet. Show a current Texas driver's license with a Dallas address or a current Dallas water bill.

• Monday to Friday 5 am–8 pm; Saturday 6 am–4 pm; closed Sunday
• Uncovered loose loads pay $40
• Tires: 6 a year

Brush and bulky collection each month

Curbside brush and bulky pickup stops at 10 cubic yards a month; extra volume is billed at $60 per 5 cubic yards. Crews leave concrete, plaster, lumber, dirt, rocks and other construction and demolition debris. That leftover category is what a rented roll-off handles.

The brush and bulky details come from the city's pilot-program page, which says regular collection has resumed. Confirm your collection week through Dallas 311.
